LA Teachers "protest" the issuance of layoff warnings

Next time my boss tries to fire me, I'll just yell at him until he leaves.

THAT'S SURE TO WORK!

Seriously? The teachers' union is getting in our faces because they might get laid off in this, the worst economic position this country has been in in DECADES?!

NEWS FLASH: IT'S POSSIBLE TO BE LAID OFF!
WELCOME TO THE FUCKING JOB MARKET!

The teachers' union leader said they were ready to be arrested for their civil disobedience, and that this was how Ghandi beat British rule. This guy's such a huge slimeball, he's probably visible from space.

Fortunately, the School Board knew about the upcoming protest/sit-in/shouting, and simply recessed, and resumed the meeting in another room they had set up for this occasion. The teachers eventually left on their own accord; instead of bound in handcuffs, pepper sprayed, and dragged by riot police chanting "We shall not, we shall not be moved!" as they had hoped.

Sorry guys, maybe next time.

Of course the real losers here were the parents who took the day off to show up to the meeting to voice their opinion on an elementary school issue, who were unable to speak at the meeting after the interruption.

But who gives a shit about them, right? It's just their kids, and the teachers can't be bothered with them.

You know; if those teachers still want to be beaten, and maced, I'm SURE I could arrange something.

Hell, I could charge admission!

People do realize that school systems issue pink slip warnings this time of year, every year, right??? Many, if not most, of the pink slippers (kind appropo don't you think) are rehired with a wink and a nod. Maybe not this year, DAh!?

What would Joe say? Just not the facts Mam, just not the facts...
