Saturday 3/21, give AIG execs a piece of your mind!
We're all mad at AIG. Their executives bear a large share of the responsibility for bringing the economy to it's knees, and now the same folks are getting hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses -- at our expense. Join us for a field trip to bring them the message.
This is amazing. This uninformed anger is so easily misdirected.
How much money did the AIG execs get in bonuses? How much of your hard-earned tax dollars went to those princes of excess?
One million?
One hundred million?
Forget it, for the sake of argument, lets just pretend it was one billion.
How much money is spent on people who don't work because they choose not to? How much money is spent on congressional toilets? How much money is spent on bridges to nowhere, and pet projects like "Cultural awareness centers"?
Congress spends billions of dollars before breakfast, and you're getting bent out of shape about some executives receiving their contractually obligated bonuses?
If you were really upset about the bonuses, you'd do better to go on a bus tour to the people who added the bonus assurances to the bailout, or the people who voted for it without reading it, or the president who was "outraged" when he signed something he didn't even read.
Congress builds monuments to waste, and your completely valid anger is easily redirected by these "organizers," who fight against the government spending whenever it's spent on anyone other than them.
Don't be fooled by these pipers. Do some research for yourself, and find out who the REAL princes of excess are.
Then stop them.

All this hocus-pocus the Obama Administration is throwing up, all the glitter and smoke and mirrors and tongues-out faces - it's a lot of effort by stagehands to hide the scenery change that's being pushed onstage.
