10 reasons why NOT to vote McCain

John McCain: The List of Infamy

Doesn't get much clearer than that.

While all true, and I will dispute none of the article posted, I cannot for the life of me accept a de facto election of Clinton by just sitting at home. I haven't made that leap yet. Every fiber of my being rebels against the very idea. It makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

And since all the candidates suck, I haven't decided yet if not votig at all is making a statement, or if that will get lost in the sea of millions who are just too lazy to get off their couches one way or the other.

In an election year where I have compelling reasons to vote for no one, well...

ME FOR PRESIDENT!

wait, what?

I'm leaning towards voting for Josh myself.

"sea of millions who are just too lazy" or "sea of millions who have opted out of the system"?

There's an old saying that goes, if you ignore the government it goes away.

That's EXTREMELY wishful thinking ET. You can't 'opt out' of the evil overlord.

However, in this case, it's evil overlord #1 or evil overlord #2. Same person, different letter after their name. It should be made clear that 'not voting' won't diminish the bad policies either will enact.

It's just that 'voting' won't either. We can say with pride that we're not useless idiots, but to be fair, we must admit that we might be useless cogs.

I think my liver hurts.

I can not, and will not, vote for McCain.

The fact that he wants to turn our country into a third world cesspool is enough to disqualify him for the job right there. Yes, Monica's ex boyfriend's 'ol lady and Obama will do the same, but not with the gusto that McCain would.

The presidency is pretty much lost to conservatives this time around, that makes it even more important to work hard to get conservatives into the senate and the house. That is the only way we can put the brakes on whoever turns out to be the POTUS.

I understand Duncan Hunter's son is running for Duncan's seat? He may be a good start from CA.

ET, buddy, I'm reminded of something my grandad told me once when I was a kid...

I was complaining about something at school when he stopped me.

He said "Well, did you speak up and attempt to change their minds?"

To which I replied (heh) "No."

"Well then, you aren't allowed to complain about it. If you're too chickenshit to try and stop the bastards, you got no business whining about it."

My point is - there is a hollow sound to political punditry when its made by those who don't participate in the political process.

And that is all I'm gonna say about that...

I didn't say I wasn't going to vote. I'm VERY opposed to staying home. The most important thing a citizen can do is become an educated voter. I WILL vote. And after the dust settles, the big "R"s will sit down and crunch the numbers. One of the numbers they will scrutinize most will be "R"s who didn't vote "R" this election. I'll be proud to know I added 1 to that number. I can understand why many have opted out, I just don't agree. There is more fighting to be done.

As to the amount of damage a liberal can do in 4 years; what do you think is going to happen after a McCain term? People would not only be more likely to put a D in the white house, they'd be more likely to do it for two terms. I'm pretty sure this next president is only going to get one term because people are pretty upset with their government right now, and will continue to be critical.

It's long game vs short game.

Not to mention the social security chickens are about to come home to roost. I'd rather have a D mismanage that crisis than an R.
