"We don't make those decisions...Chrysler makes those decisions," said White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. The spokesman pushed back today on accusations the administration has been unfairly targeting for closure Chrysler dealerships whose owners contributed to Republicans.
Odd...
"It became clear to us that Chrysler does not see the wisdom of terminating 25 percent of its dealers. It really wasn't Chrysler's decision. They are under enormous pressure from the president's automotive task force," said attorney Leonard Bellavia.
So, which is more likely?
Obama administration pressures Chrysler to close Republican dealers, no matter their profitability?
OR
Chrysler closes completely random dealerships that happen to be Republican-owned regardless of their ability to sell Chrysler cars?
I'm still waiting for this to be plastered all over the MSM...
[This is the sound of me not holding my breath]

Who's right?
1) the administration which says they had NO involvement with the closings or
2) the lawyer who says that he BELIEVES the opposite.
Check the lawyers words again. He's conjecturing, not stating a fact.
True, this is opinion. However, the lawyer formulated this opinion after discussing the closings with James Press, president of Chrysler.
Besides, it still doesn't explain what Chrysler would have to gain by closing profitable dealerships, or why Chrysler intends to increase their dealerships by 20% after this cut.
We'll find out more when Press talks about the closings publicly next week.
Interesting you should post on this just the other day Debbie Hamilton at Right Truth had a detailed post on the same thing. We are having a number of closings here in Mississippi and I found an article in the Hattiesburg American on this and left a comment on their blog concerning the targeting of Repub. dealerships. Something could be very wrong here and needs to be looked into. Found your blog in a round-about-way via a preppers widget I recently installed on my site. Visit me sometimes at TOTUS.
