Ford is doing fine for now. They are getting out of their hole and gaining market share. . . oh, wait. . . . they refused the bailout.

Pesky private buisness.
The Ford Family looked at the demands of the bailout and thought NFW. Thereby saving the company for now.
I'm sure the UAW is gnashing it's teeth over that.
