EPOCH FAIL!

Damn hilarious!

UPDATE: Hint to google searchers; It's a wordplay on "Epic Fail!" and Epoch time (Posix/Unix time).

What is this thing with people saying 'fail' instead of 'failure'? Is it some new fad like that 'Arthur Fonzerelli' character you kids are so into these days?

It originated (supposedly) on an image board where phrases like, "Epic fail!" (hence the Epoch wordplay) and "Do not want!" are used in place of conversation. Most of the silly motivational posters seem to come from here.

However, it's a really nasty place, and you never know what to expect. Nothing else on the internet compares to this place. You have been warned. Thusly I cannot in good conscience tell anyone how to get there... You'll find it if you look hard enough, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Epoch No Thanks then!

Thank you for not ignoring my warning, finding the site, and then getting angry at me for telling you about it. Too many have ignored, and have returned to me very unhappy, and sometimes changed people. :(

There's some shit you just don't need to see.

Teh scum of teh universe: http://4chan.org

What existingthing speaks of is the dreaded 4chan, beware! BEWARE! Fine just go there and get it over with, it's not all that bad... if you've had a preforntal lobotomy before.

Actually most of the site is tolerable, even useful; but the less time you spend in /b/, the /b/etter.

That's where most of the rough stuff happens. But no guarantees, because Anon likes to troll the other boards occasionally.

I just spent 25 minutes searching online to try and find out why this was funny.

How does "epoch" sound like "epic"? I can't make the pun work with even a strong Irish accent.

...and I love XKCD, and have been to, well, said website.

I found a pronunciation that makes it work.
