As you read the article, note the word "automatic" appears nowhere in the article. These guns are semi-automatic (one shot per trigger pull).
What this gun seller did was ILLEGAL.
What these Americans with clean records did was ILLEGAL.
What the people who transported these guns did was ILLEGAL.
But the problem lies with law-abiding Americans that have access to semi-automatic rifles. Obviously.
In 2007, the firearms agency traced 2,400 weapons seized in Mexico back to dealers in the United States, and 1,800 of those came from dealers operating in the four states along the border, with Texas first, followed by California, Arizona and New Mexico.
2,400? Out of how many? 3,000? 10,000? 50,000? How many guns do you think the drug cartels have? Probably more than those guesses. But that doesn't matter, because if it was just ONE gun, it was one gun too many, right? And if we pass a new AWB, the violence in Mexico will cease, right?
Idiots.
The article goes on to admit that crossing the border is child's play in a vehicle, and even those that enter Mexico through legal means are rarely searched. Who's fault is that?
SAVE MEXICO FROM GUNS!
SECURE THE BORDER!

I love the Arms Bazaar imagery. Like Mexican cartel leaders pile into a van, drive to an AZ gun shop, and ask for AK-47s, RPGs, and grenades by the thousands.
What a lumpy, steaming pile of Journoscrescence.
The Mexican Cartel leaders pile into a van (*waving tequila bottles!*) and drive to the Chinese Embassy Bazaar - we don't have bazaars way up Norte here.
