Just realized; as the budget is proposed, buying a new car will result in extra sales taxes on the purchase, double the registration fee, and twelve more cents per gallon when you want to fill the tank.

The Governator is treading a very fine line with the car registration fee increase. The last time the governor pushed through a similar increase, he was recalled, and Arnie was voted into the spot!
They say history repeats itself, but I really think it's just that retarded politicians naturally have the same retarded ideas.
I sense a tax revolt in the future. People may not be paying attention right now, but they WILL feel the pinch this year, and they WILL be pissed.
Whether or not the people will be distracted by shiny objects before they can vote some real change is the real question.
