Watch a fight for our rights now!
UPDATE: it's over! and therefore not live. You can watch the session by watching the morning and afternoon sessions for the BOS meeting on 2/10/09 here.
Be warned! It's open to public comment, so it'll probably go until 5pm PST.
Watch it, and see what some "Kommiefornians" are doing to fight for their gun rights.
What have you done for your rights lately?
UPDATE 1:22 PST, they're at lunch now...
UPDATE 1:40 PST, they're coming back in
UPDATE: good point, someone said they sent in their CCW app with a $40 check, and it was returned denied WITH the check. If the money is for processing, and it was returned, was it not processed?
UPDATE 2:20 PST, you bitch; you keep saying you have no control over issuance, YOU HAVE TOTAL CONTROL! THERE IS NO RECOURSE! YOU ARE THE FINAL WORD! YOU ARE LYING! She's still clinging to a THIRTY YEAR OLD AG letter of OPINION!
UPDATE 2:23 PST, Oh, I'm sorry! She said it was law because state law says it's illegal unless the sheriff issues a permit, except she has TOTAL CONTROL OVER ISSUANCE!
UPDATE 2:25 PST, Yeah, you better be around for that budget discussion!
*ET takes a breather*
UPDATE 2:41 PST, She isn't giving an inch. Her big move was the option to "expire" your permit early to prevent a blemish on your record from the revocation. She obviously plans to continue with revocation, and has no intention to bend on her "good cause" limitations. The BOS is obviously feeling the heat since Morloch took the time to make it clear he disagreed, and had nothing to do with the decision. She's not going to move, and the BOS is feeling the heat, so I think the BOS are going to feel more uncomfortable on reelection. Whether or not they will do anything about it, remains to be seen.
