    Smooth Dick Blumenthal has also repeatedly said, "When I was in Vietnam" referring to his military service - he never was. According to records he obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 to avoid going to war, instead he went to Harvard, then England, then took a job at the Washington Post...
